Judge Charlene Friedman - International Alpaca Odyssey

Charlene is co-owner with her husband, Ed, of Mountain Edge Alpacas, a multi-faceted alpaca breeding business. They have been breeding alpacas since 1995.

Charlene attended the IAJS (International Alpaca Judging School), which was founded and operated by Maggie Krieger and Dr. Julio Sumar, in the Altiplano in October 2001. Charlene is certified by AOBA (Alpacas Owners and Breeders Association) to judge Suri Halter, Huacaya Halter, Performance and Fleece.

She is the former Chair of AOBA's Education and Show Rules Committees and presently serves on the Judge Advisory Committee.

Charlene is the mother of two children, Ty Stewart, 34, of Las Vegas, Nevada and Salem Bartlett, 37, of Wilmington, North Carolina. She lives with her husband, Ed, five dogs and their herd of alpacas in Boalsburg, PA on their 175-acre farm overlooking Mount Nittany.
